Description
Description
Detroit Diesel Reprogramming System (DRS) for DDEC & MBE is the service reprogramming tool for Detroit engine control modules. It performs all programming operations for DDEC II, III, IV and V engines and MBE modules — replacing faulty controllers, updating module software, and applying customer calibrations, the way a Detroit service shop does.
What DRS Does
- Replace a faulty PLD or VCU and program the replacement
- Upgrade PLD software and update a VCU's software level
- Upgrade a PLD's fuel map with official software
- Update PLD and VCU customer calibration, or return it to the settings stored on the server
- Update injector classification codes when replacing an injector
- Change the VCU odometer
- Save and import parameter files from PLD and VCU
- Display engine configuration data for VCU- and PLD-equipped engines
Supported Modules & Software Levels
- DDEC: II, III, IV and V
- VCU software: versions 11, 12, 13 and 14 (latest VCU software 14.25)
- PLD software: versions 53, 56 and 60 (version 51 supported for customer calibration only)
PLD reprogramming can be done with the DDEC Multilink Translator or the USB-Link Translator Box.
