Connections and VIMS Communication Cable
Connection is not universal. Depending on the machine and onboard VIMS generation, communication can use a serial connection, an Ethernet service port or a platform-specific harness. Some VIMS 3G systems communicate through a dedicated network service connection.

Legacy Software and Windows Environment
